What is Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)?

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is time of year when you can switch your Medicare Advantage, or your Prescription Drug Coverage for the following year.

The dates for this are October 15th – December 7th.

However, the new plans come out October 1st , so it is at this point you and your agent can look at these new plans. If you are unhappy with your plan, or just want to see what is new out there, this is the time to look at these new and upcoming plans for the next year.

You can change as often as you would like within this period, with the last one being your plan for the following year.
